OUR REVIEWS

Classic Kafta and Stuffed Grape Leaves (Affirmed)

The classic kafta — spiced ground beef topped with tomato, red onions, and KM’s “special Mediterranean sauce” on a six-inch baguette — is “succulent” and “packed with flavor.” The stuffed grape leaves match the “high quality of the sandwich” and are “obviously homemade and very, very fresh.” To read the full review, see In re Kafta Mania, 17 Catt. 2 (2013).

Halloumi Cheese Panini and Baba Ghanoush (Affirmed)

The Halloumi cheese — “texturally similar to mozzarella, except a bit drier and saltier” — is “quite tasty.” The combination of cheese, tomato, and oregano is “very classic, but with a salty twist.” The sandwich roll has “beautiful grill marks” and “a nice crust.” The baba ghanoush is “very good,” marked by “a strong smoky taste” and served with “fresh, crunchy, herby, and salty” pita chips. For the full review, see In re Kafta Mania, 17 Catt. 3 (2013).
