A Note on the Government Shutdown

Both members of the Supreme Cart, along with their Congressionally-authorized clerks, have been designated “excepted” according to the Cart’s shutdown contingency plan. Proceedings and the issuance of decisions will continue even in the event of a lapse of appropriations. The Cart does not anticipate having to cease performance of its normal operations at any time after such a lapse of appropriations.
